Hello, Friends!
As this is the first time in almost two years that I have attempted to blog, and as programmers can NEVER keep their fingers off their programs, I am truly mystified as to how to proceed. (Although honestly, at least I've gotten this far, which has taken quite some time to accomplish.). Also, my blogging consultant, Katy Zappala, is out of town when I need her most ... so we'll see how this goes!
Keeping all fingers and toes crossed, we hope to be able to travel to France, leaving November 8, and returning November 30. At one of the several times that I have had to cancel and rebook this trip, it started out as six lovely weeks in both France and Germany. However, now, thanks to COVID, I am hoping just to be able to get to France and get through their requirements. We shall see!
Our plan is to arrive in Paris and revisit some of our favorite places, staying four nights. Then, we will train to Lyon and return to the lovely apartment we stayed in several Christmas' ago. (Hopefully November will be a bit warmer than the end of December and January!).
From Lyon, we will train back to Charles de Gaulle airport and pick up a rental car (which, by the way, is MUCH less expensive than renting a car in the U.S. let me assure you!). From there we will head to Brittany for six nights at a lovely AirBnB in Carnac, and finally, back to CDG and out the following morning to return to the States.
I have cancelled so many trips these past several years, that we have airline credits all over the place -- but hopefully this will be a good start to our returning travels. We shall see!
The other thing that transpired mid-COVID is that my computer had to be completely cleaned out and the programs reinstalled. The one thing that we forgot about was my Bloglist of emails. That is truly a big WHOOPS! However, thanks once again to Katy, she had kept an old email of mine that included the bloglisting. So, after I figure out how to get this blog started, I will then have to re-enter all of the email addresses. My point being: If you no longer want to receive these emails, please just let me know! Thanks for your help and understanding!
So -- here's to blogging and traveling once again! As I say -- with fingers crossed!
